Looking for a job

Job searching is the hardest thing ever. Whenever I find a job I can do, I don't even get short-listed. I've never been to an interview before :(

I've been told that my CV is good, so why aren't I able to get a job? Is it too much to ask to get a weekend job in a retail shop?
