A poem for my sisters

I won first place in writing competition!!! My poem was about how my sisters inspire me. The prize was a £100 gift card for Amazon. I might buy either a new laptop or a camera. Hmmm... the dilemma.

As my videos still aren't uploading (my original songs), I thought I'd share my poem with you in the meantime. So here it is:

A poem for my sisters

When the world’s at its worst and things go wrong

You always continue forward and remain strong

Tears stream inside and cracks begin to show

But the hope in your eyes helps me to grow

You pick yourself up and try something new

Talent and optimism push you through

The dreams that you dream

The support that you give

The drive that you have                   

The heart that lives

You inspire me because you’re both so strong

When you say life’s not fair but you still try

You show me a life where I could never cry

‘Cause I would be proud if I was you

Every good thing about you is true

You’re sweet, you’re kind with an amazing heart

So never let life tear you apart

The ambition you have

The stars that you are

The future you want

I know you’ll go far

You inspire me because you’re the best people I know

You inspire me because you haven’t let go

You inspire me because you’re you.
