Opportunities Arise When You Least Expect It

Hello,

The past couple of weeks have been extremely busy for me, in a good way. I have been balancing video shoots with university and leisure. It feels great when the modelling work pipes up; it's a really hard job and the industry is brutal. A hundred rejections, but that one yes makes you feel on top of the world. I will definitely continue trying to reach the top.

The things I like most about being on Starnow is you choose what jobs to apply to and you meet a variety of people. I had a shoot yesterday where I met a man launching an Italian clothing store this Friday and in need of models for the launch event. It was an amazing coincidence. I now have another job on Friday which means more money coming in.

I definitely didn't expect to come out of work with another job, which shows opportunities arise when you least expect it. If a photographer/director or producer likes you it's likely they will use you again, but this was an extra working alongside me. Imagine if I didn't go to the video shoot, I wouldn't have known about this launch and I wouldn't be as excited for Friday. I'm not one to turn down opportunities, a lot of the best things come from chance.

On another note, I hate worrying about my bank balance. I wish I was lucky enough to have been born into a rich family. Limousines and spa days would have been the norm for me. Oh well, I'm part of the majority who live without those privileges. Hard work and long hours can help you become rich, or pure luck, either way I am working towards a solid seven figured bank account. That means I really have to start saving.

In order to encourage myself and stay on the right track, I have started a blog about saving. It will share the tips I have on saving and share discounts with you. I always know about the sales as well (and not just from Secret Sales), so I will be keeping you up to date with those as well so you can spend your money with less guilt. I need to stop spending so much money if I want to ever be financially free, but I still want to live the high life. This is my solution. Save money on other parts of my life, such as food and exercise, so I can enjoy the occasional spa day and guilt-free taxi home.

The blog is called Heart Saving (click to go to the blog)

One of the best ways to shop without the excessive guilt is browsing the sales and using discount codes. Students are lucky and get at least 10% off of many places all year round, but what if you are not a student? There are plenty of discounts you are entitled to as well, you just have to find them, or you can read this blog and be rewarded with them.
