6 Tips For How To Get The Most For Your Money During The Boxing Day And New Year Sales

Firstly, I hope you had an amazing Christmas! It's a wonderful time of year, full of family, cheer and spending money. And what is today? It's boxing day which means SALES!!

This is the day many people wait for all year to go shopping. That means massive crowds and queues, but there are many great deals to be snatched. The same happens for New Year. The sales to end and start the years are so tempting many people can't resist flooding into the stores to bag a bargain.

That is why I thought of some tips on how to navigate these sales so you can make your money go even further whilst buying the things you want and not going crazy in the process.

1 - Check your emails and retailers' social media

This is the first thing you should do before planning your shop (or going off on a whim). Most retailers have been marketing their sales via email, as well as other methods. You get a good idea about how good each retailer's sale is and which retailers you want to shop with just by skimming your emails.

If you have not signed up to your favourite retailers' newsletters, check their social media to see what deals and offers they currently have or go on their website. Social media will keep you updated constantly. There might be a coupon or a special offer waiting for you if you sign up to the newsletter or check the retailer's social media, so it is definitely worth checking.

2 - Shop online

It is no secret that I love to shop online, but in this instance it makes the most sense for a peaceful shopping experience. No queues or crowds, just products on the page. There is likely to be more choice online, in terms of both products and sizes, due to not having a space restriction. The products online and in-store may differ though, so do not assume everything you see in-store will be online and vice versa.
